It seems that although his wife has come to terms with Barack Obama receiving the Democratic nomination, Bill Clinton still has some resentment to work out. He flat out ignored a reporter's question as to when he'll officially endorse Obama at the U.S. Conference of Mayors meeting over the weekend, where he spoke on energy and climate issues.

But Bill managed to put his hurt feelings aside long enough to say he favors Obama's, "80 percent reduction in greenhouse gases over Senator McCain's position, which is to go to 70 percent," but still managed to compliment McCain, saying the Maverick's plan was still "light years" ahead of the general Republican position.

Clinton's speech wasn't just backhanded compliments. He talked about how addressing climate change can help to boost the economy, and reminded the nation's mayors that his foundation offers loans to municipalities so that they can improve the efficiency of old buildings without having to burden the taxpayers. He also spoke to the international impact of proactive mitigation steps, saying that other nations are more likely to take action once they see steps successfully implemented here.
