The more people look at Gov. Sarah Palin's true record and not the rhetoric she pitched at the Republican convention, the more we find out just how much of anti-environmentalist she really is.
Last weekend, the UK's Guardian reported about one reporter's journey to Palin's home state, where he found out about her environmental record that's "so toxic it would make the incumbent, George Bush, blush."
The article further dissected Palin's disbelief in anthropogenic climate change and protecting wildlife like polar bears and wolves. The Guardian said Palin last year proposed a $150 bounty on wolves, which ultimately failed, and spent some $400,000 tax dollars to block efforts to end Alaska's wolf hunt.
Yesterday, the Huffington Post ran a story about what Republicans for Environmental Protection think about Palin's environmental policies. When REP President Jim DePeso was asked if he was worried about Palin's stance on climate change, he responded, "Not at all. She wasn't picked to be an environmental policy adviser...[McCain's] the captain of the ship. She has to follow his direction, not the other way around."
Does this sound eerily familiar to anyone else?
